I found an old box of photos that miraculously seem to show the day's events... a planning meeting with Nancy; a visit from Randy and Solveig, and the light coming in on the new floor.
The house is a super-insulated, traditionally-styled 2 bedroom home for Nancy and Dave. The house has been built as a net-zero ready project. Key aspects of the design are double wall construction, dense-pack cellulose insulation, triple pane windows, universal access layout, and a passive solar design.
Dave and Nancy have lived for about eight years on the same property in a yurt and are now looking forward to life in their new home.
The house was designed by Dave, and building began in August 2009.
