The siding is essentially done as of this morning. There are two little triangular areas that'll take me an hour or so to finish, but rest is done. Feels great, looks great.
Wow NIce Job Dave! what are the plans for the front door stoop? Just a suggestion, how about a gravel border edge to keep the mud from splashing up on your nice new siding when the water runs off the roof?
The house is a super-insulated, traditionally-styled 2 bedroom home for Nancy and Dave. The house has been built as a net-zero ready project. Key aspects of the design are double wall construction, dense-pack cellulose insulation, triple pane windows, universal access layout, and a passive solar design.
Dave and Nancy have lived for about eight years on the same property in a yurt and are now looking forward to life in their new home.
The house was designed by Dave, and building began in August 2009.

Thats exactly what we're gonna do...
What a beautiful home!
How is the clapboard holding up?
Did you have to repaint it since 2010?
